The Public Authority for Consumer Protection, in cooperation with Oman Marketing and Servicing Company, launched a call for 96 Honda electric generators (EU22IT).

The recall was according to the chassis numbers from (1055257) to (2029681) due to the risk of high temperature of the inverter inside the generator and salt water may enter the inverter which may cause corrosion that leads to increase the resistance and in the worst cases it can cause fire. However, there is no reports received yet. Therefore, company will replace the inverter unit with a new one.

These calls confirm the efforts undertaken by the authority in the field of traffic safety in cooperation with car agencies, to preserve the lives and safety of consumers, and to provide the necessary protection to consumers, in line with its continuous eagerness to conduct continuous reviews of all products offered in the Sultanate's markets.
