The Consumer Protection Authority in cooperation with the Omani Commercial Corporation launched a recall campaign for 121 LG OLED TVs from 2016 to 2019.
This is based on product number (OLED65B7), (OLED65E6) and (OLED65G6) in addition to product number (OLED65G7), product number (OLED65W7), product number (OLED77C9), (OLED77G6) and (OLED77W7).
This recall comes due to the possibility of early damage to the X-Capacitor that is located in the power source which aims to reduce the sound produced by the electrical current in the provider which leads to the increase in the electric current and thus the high temperature of the other parts included in the power supply that leads to rise the temperature of the TV and consequently the power source turns off directly as a result of a safety procedure. As a result of that, the television set will separate from the electrical energy and therefore the company will replace the power source panel.
These recalls confirm the efforts made by the authority in the field of traffic safety in cooperation with auto agencies to preserve the lives and safety of consumers. In addition, to provide them with the necessary protection in line with its continuous keenness to conduct continuous reviews of all products offered in the Sultanate’s markets.
