The Consumer Protection Authority, in cooperation with the Oman Marketing and Services Company launched a campaign to recall 7 Honda CRF bikes model 2020-2021 

where one Honda CRF bike type CRF1100D2 was recalled for the 2020 model depending on the chassis numbers (JH2SD10G0LK000015) and one Honda CRF bike was recalled  CRF1100D2 for 2021 depending on the chassis number (JH2SD10G0MK100004) recalling one Honda CRF bike of the type CRF1100D2 for the model number 2020 depending on the chassis number (JH2SD10G8LK000005), and recalling one Honda CRF bike of the type CRF1100D4 for one bike CRF1100D2 based on chassis number 1JH100010V and recalling one bike CRF1100D4 for model number 2021JH100010V.  Honda CRF type CRF1100D4 for model 2021, depending on the chassis number (JH2SD10V4MK100005) and recall one Honda CRF bike type CRF1100D4 for model 2021 depending on the chassis number (JH2SD10V6MK100006). In addition to one Honda CRF bike based on chassis number 2021 CRF1100D4 (based on chassis number 2021).  JH2SD10V7MK100001).

The recall comes due to a defect in the OBD (Electronic Control Unit) system and the data is incorrect which leads to the suspension of the fuel injection and the working circuit in the engine and the separation of the operating unit from the electronic drive system. Thus the clutch is separated and the bike loses its driving force and accordingly the company will  Reprogram the system.

These recalls confirm the efforts made by the authority in the field of traffic safety in cooperation with agencies working in the field and in line with its continuous keenness to conduct continuous reviews of all products offered in the Sultanate’s markets with the aim of providing the necessary protection for consumers in all fields.
