The Consumer Protection Authority in cooperation with Oman Marketing and Services Company LLC, launched a recall campaign for 6 Honda motorcycles of the type GL1800 (GL1800) model 2020-2021 based on chassis numbers (JH2SC79P2LK200001, (JH2SC7936LK200029), (JH2SC79P9MK300002), (JH2SC7934MK300003), (JH2SC7938MK300005) and (JH2SC7937MK300030).

This recall comes because these bikes are equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, as the ignition timing system of the electronic engine control unit cannot be properly controlled at the level of the clutch while driving which leads to a high load on the bike and in the worst case, the bike stops working. Accordingly, the company will reprogram the system.

These recalls confirm the efforts made by the authority in the field of traffic safety in cooperation with agencies operating in the field to preserve the lives and safety of consumers and provide them with the necessary protection.
